When I hear or think of awful things done in the past to different races/ cultures by those who share the same skin color as me, I am so ashamed.

When I watch movies or documentaries that tell about history, I hurt for those affected. You watch movies about mothers who lost their children, families who lost their homes, and people who couldn't be properly acknowledged for their work. Just solely speaking to someone, the ruthless violence of the hands of white men took their children. For looking in their direction, other races were physically harmed. The thought that we could be so damning and unforgiving over simple actions is sickening. I am so sorry to anyone who was treated unjustly or affected by the actions of another human being's poor behavior. We can do better!
