Our event will take the form of. Healing circles, research panel, honoring Black and Brown artists in an exhibit, music, and honoring of the land of indigenous people. The highlight of the day will be a 3 hour interactive circle titled Witness to Injustice. Participants will have an opportunity to listen with empathy about the historical systemic forms of racism that occurred against the indigenous people of North America.
A 45-minute session of guided meditation for wellness. A Re*kin~Nectar to inner wisdom for overall wellness & healing.
Brenda Salgado will share briefly about indigenous prophecy about this time. We will then have an opportunity to do engage in Toltec Breath and Energy Practices for Ancestral Healing Ceremony to clear unhealthy patterns around racism in our lineage and here in the collective at this time. Then we will connect with Mother Earth to plant seeds and intentions for the community care and racial healing we want to see in our families, communities and in the world.

This workshop, titled "The Art of Connection: Bridging Cultures Through Creative Expression," is designed to address cultural connections and foster healing through creative practices like storytelling, poetry, vocal expression, and more.

This event will provide a space for reflection, connection, and healing through activities that include:
Storytelling to explore cultural experiences and racial equity
Poetry and group discussion on the meaning of healing
Vocal yoga to uncover the benefits of sound and healing practices
Collaborative exploration of how organizations like Habitat for Humanity are addressing racial inequity
This workshop is a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and creative expression as we work together to build bridges and deepen connections across cultures in our community.
The Children's Museum at Saratoga will hold a community building drop in activity all day on January 22. The Museum will have an interactive art piece focusing on children's dreams for the future. Children and their adults will also be encouraged to make three dimensional penguin. The children will then make signs and march the penguins holding signs calling for peace, etc.
