Gods Trombones – 7 Negro Sermons in Verses was written by James Weldon Johnson in1927. This presentation utilizes 7 orators who express the human experience via the Bible ( From Creation to Revelation)
We select orators from diverse backgrounds to present each sermon. The program is during Black History Month
An event that will take place online across various social media platforms when all Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people should simultaneously post about the history of our people, the prejudices we faced in the past and present, and how we can overcome this for a better future.
Circle with folks of various ancestry and backgrounds. Together at these Anti-Racism Healing Circles we will reflect and share about our experiences and feelings about racism, particularly Anti-Indigeneity, Anti-Blackness and Anti-Asian racism in our families, work and communities via somatic mindfulness and presencing. Co-Facilitated by inabel Uytiepo, Anasuya Isaacs and Carissa Singh.
We will dress in our African attire or culture preference, we will provide a variety of culture related meals, and we will have have two speakers that will teach racial reconciliation and healing. Dr. Calvin Glass author of the book "Racial Reconciliation: A Theological Approach to Building Relationships" will be one of the speakers, Minister Pam Talley will be the other speaker.
Join us for a day of reflection, connection, and community as we engage in conversations to promote racial healing and equity. Hosted by COHORT 3 of the Culture of Health Leadership Institute, this event features interactive opportunitites to build bridges across differences. Together, we will explore pathways to healing and create a shared vision for an inclusive and equitable future.

Join us for an evening to talk about the history of Hopper Academy, Sanford Florida’s historic black school and local landmark, and to consider why knowing our history is an important part of mapping the future of our community. Hear stories from those who once attended Hopper, and learn its rich and challenging history. Intentionally hosted on the National Day of Racial Healing, participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their own experiences with the history of race and civil rights in our country.
Artists commission with the city of Detroit to paint a mutual on a security wall, about the history of the automotive company and the neighborhood around the surrounding areas. This was part of the community agreement with a automotive company in a eastside of Detroit neighborhood. The second artists work is a structure to monitor air quality from the newly built automotive plant , the output of odors when painting new vehicles. This work was funded by non profits in Detroit.
