My son was a middle school student and we attended a football game. All of his friends were invited to a cookout, hot dogs after the game. He was so excited about going his friend was white . The parents of the white child told him you are not welcome at our house because you are not allowed in my house. My son cried I had to explain why he wasn’t allowed to the party! The children were all playing together on the bleachers . He thought it was okay to be friends with everyone. I had taught him to love all people regardless of their ethnicity!
