Join us for an engaging panel discussion hosted by Prevention Institute in honor of The National Day of Racial Healing by The Kellogg Foundation. This event will explore strategies to promote equity, foster community resilience, and heal racial divides through collective action.

Event Description:
Join us for Building Bridges, a transformative event dedicated to fostering racial healing and equity within New Orleans' diverse and dynamic workforce. This gathering will bring together employers and leaders from key sectors—hospitality, education, environmental, and non-profit—to engage in open, honest, and collaborative conversations about how to address racial disparities, promote inclusivity, and create lasting change in
our communities and workplaces. Through facilitated dialogue, participants will explore the unique challenges
and opportunities each sector faces in advancing racial justice. Together, we will share best practices, identify actionable strategies, and build a collective vision for a more equitable and inclusive New Orleans.

Audience: Business owners, HR professionals, educators (K-12 and Higher Ed), or community leaders, this event offers a unique opportunity to be part of a collective movement toward racial healing and transformative change in New Orleans. Together, we can create more inclusive, equitable spaces for all.

Tuesday, Jan 21 (11am-1pm) is the official National Day of Racial Healing 2025 and an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments since launching in 2017, experience a healing circle, and participate in visioning for the next year of our work together. If you and/or your organization are interested in participating in the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation process beyond the National Day of Racial Healing, this is a great opportunity to join the team.

Healing of the Soul Ministry’s tool, HOSM4AA to help African Americans pursue healing from the effects and impact of generations of racism in America will be presented along with opportunities for questions and comments from those in attendance.

I learned listening skills through SeekHealing, and will introduce and apply those. They include reflection, asking curious questions, and silent mindful breathing.

An event that will take place online across various social media platforms when all Ethnic Qarsherskiyan people should simultaneously post about the history of our people, the prejudices we faced in the past and present, and how we can overcome this for a better future.

This is a moment to nurture hope, honor the resilience passed down by those who came before us, whether they are still with us or not, and celebrate the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Join us for a Roundtable of Reflections with RTB staff and board members as they reflect on the leaders and change makers who inspire strength and perseverance, even in the most challenging times. Together, we will share stories and reflections, with opportunities to contribute your voice live or through our Hate and Hope Tracker, building a collective vision of hope and a brighter future.
